TIPI WEDDING NORTHAMPTONSHIRE

GETTING READY

I first met Marie & Tom at their friends wedding last year and when they decided to book me, I knew it was going to be an amazing day! 🙂 Marie got ready at their house with her two daughters & bridesmaids, and the atmosphere was full of excitement. The bride then jumped into a fancy wedding car to get to the ceremony. Tom got ready at his parents house with all the lads. Funny fact from the day – you will notice on one of the photos that the trousers for one of the groomsmen arrived too short! Not something you want to be dealing with on your wedding day for sure, but the boys managed to swap it! 🙂

THE SERIOUS PART

The ceremony was a beautiful service at a nearby church in Towcester. During the ceremony Woody had to use chapstick on his fingers to make sure the wedding ring fitted him as it was so hot! It was such a personal service and so much fun.

THE VENUE & DECOR

The reception was in a tipi at their friends farm. They chose the venue because it has so many options and they could totally personalise it. It was a festival kinda wedding, which was so relaxed as you know these are my fav kinda weddings. I love shooting outdoor weddings because they’re always so relaxed. The tables were decorated with gin bottles, candles & flowers – so simple yet so effective! The most impressive thing was the chandelier made out of hundreds of handmade (!!!) paper cranes! It definitely made those tipis look more unique :).

THE COUPLE

Marie wore a Maggie Sotterro dress and Tom wore a Ted Bakers suit and they looked so gorgeous. Marie’s dress was so beautiful and elegant and Tom looked so dapper!
