First wedding of an incredibly busy season and I am feeling overjoyed about the months and all the weddings ahead this year! 🙂
When I first met up with Ellie and Simon and they told me they’d love to book me to photograph their wedding at Dodmoor House, I was so so happy! I have never been to this venue before and I love visiting new places.
First thing in the morning I went to see Simon at the Bay Tree Cottage and I was amazed by how beautiful this cottage was! Very rustic interior and decorations had me at hello! 🙂 I then went off to Dodmoor House, where Ellie was getting ready. I went over to one of the barns to take pictures of the set up. Ellie and Simon decided on simple, yet beautiful DIY decorations. Table runners & bows that were put on the chairs were made of hessian and there was lots of flowers on the tables. The couple have also made their own beer bottles and homemade fudge as favours.
My favourite and the most emotional part of the day was when Ellie walked down the aisle and I could see tears in Simon’s eyes. Those are the moments you can’t fake or repeat. Love in it’s truest, purest form.
Ellie and Simon’s Wedding Day was filled with blue skies, beers + lots of happy people!
I feel infinitely blessed to have been a part of their beautiful story.
‘I don’t believe in magic.’
The young boy said.
The old man smiled.
‘You will when you see her.’
