I’ve met Debbie last year when I photographed her little family. It was a very special session for me as it was the last newborn photoshoot I had booked to photograph before I stopped photographing newborns all together.
I remember that Arthur was such a sweet little boy, slept beautifully throughout the session and actually made me question myself as to why I decided not to photograph newborns anymore!
When we scheduled in another session I was over the moon to see this happy bunch again! We decided to go to delepre abbey park, one of my favourite locations in Northampton for family sessions.
We met up at the car park (as I always do with all my lovely clients haha!) on this windy but warm day. Sephie who is nearly three, had chosen her own outfit – which was absolutely beautiful!
Whilst we were walking to the place I had in mind for our session, we were chatting about Debbie & Andy’s wedding plans! I have to admit, those two are pretty special and by the sound of it, their wedding is going to be very intimate, friendly and <hopefully> stress free 🙂
When we finally got to the location, I was a bit disappointed that the meadow that I absolutely love was sooo empty! But I tried to make the most of it and to be honest – with subjects like Debbie, Andy, Sephie and baby Arthur – nothing else is needed! Their happiness and love just shone through them and I am sure those photos show it.
Sephie was a bit shy to begin with and I had to keep photographing her doll, but she soon warmed up to the camera and wasn’t so shy after all. Arthur slept through most of our session and decided to wake up nearly at the end for a few photos.
“If ever there is tomorrow when we’re not together…
There is something you must always remember.
You are braver than you believe,
Stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
But the most important thing is, even if we’re apart…
I’ll always be with you.”
