When my friend Adam showed me this location in hardingstone, Northampton it was like love at first sight.
I have always, always loved farms so I knew I would be back there again very soon. I knew immediately that this abandoned, rustic barn would be the perfect location for a photo shoot.
I first met Karen & Neil last year when I photographed them & their two adorable children Izzy & Jake. When I needed someone for a test shoot with Adam who is training to be my second shooter, I was so pleased Karen had contacted me and volunteered to pose for us on this cold and windy day! Karen & Neil were so relaxed, down to earth and kind hearted…I absolutely loved photographing them two again!
When we arrived at the farm, we were a bit worried that we would have to call it all off as it started raining, but thankfully 5 minutes later it all stopped. Adam and I had a little wonder around the farm before Karen & Neil arrived and run through the plan where we were going to start and how we imagined this session would go.
I must say, it’s such a great feeling to have someone there with you at the session who shares as much passion and love for photography as I do! We can literally talk about photography gear & photos for hours probably <that’s my geeky side I think haha>
“Can you lie next to her
And give her your heart, your heart
As well as your body
And can you lie next to her
And confess your love, your love
As well as your folly
And can you kneel before the king
And say I’m clean, I’m clean”
